DESCRIPTION: EPW - Eug.ne Tissot Fils, Chaux-de-Fonds, minute repeater, 49mm, 16K gold original HC, signed gold cuvette bearing attributes, yellow metal clip currently around bow, white enamel SS dial, KWKS, lever escapement, strike train jeweled to hammers, 22-29J, gilt mvt, s#34484 and s#3973 within case. Comes with an attractive gold-filled key as pictured. Gross weight of assembled watch plus yellow metal clip on bow 61.7 dwt (95.9 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good repeat function aside from minute hand being approximately 1 minute out of index, good repeat tone, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, one hammer with small patch of abrasion and oxide; dial with hl from center to 2, hl above seconds-register, minuscule pinpoint flake to upper rim of center hole, subtle discoloration of dial glaze evident in reflected light inside the hour numerals suggesting something was once painted on dial surface in these positions but has since been cleaned away; excellent hands; case front with hinge protruding a bit on one side and with front leaving some gap to band when closed adjacent this area, case front misaligning slightly when closed and requiring a bit of pressure as closing to prevent its inadvertently opening, case shows light wear, fine scratches to perimeter of front adjacent hinge area, few small nicks, no dents or dings, reduced engine turning detail with full loss to portions of front shoulder and to much of rear shoulder, front lift spring is not contacting lid quite to fully opened position which allows lid to tilt back a small bit toward closed with gravity; tight bow, push shows medium wear and loss of a portion of its gold cap; good glass crystal. Key shows medium wear with some areas of wear to brass and has several areas that have been filed to reveal underlying brass.
ESTIMATE: $2000 - $3000
